4 Waterfall Hike and Sunset Merese Hill

This adventure takes you into the lush rainforest of Central Lombok, where four beautiful waterfalls can be explored along a single trekking route before ending the day with a spectacular sunset at Merese Hill.

The first waterfall is Benang Stokel, a powerful twin cascade flowing from the slopes of Mount Rinjani. Water drops from high cliffs into a cool natural pool surrounded by dense tropical vegetation, creating one of the most photogenic waterfall scenes in Central Lombok. The short jungle walk to reach it is easy and suitable for most visitors.

Benang Stokel

Continuing deeper into the forest brings you to Benang Kelambu, the most famous waterfall in the area. Unlike typical waterfalls, the water gently spreads across a curtain of green vines and moss-covered cliffs, creating the appearance of a giant natural veil. The name "Kelambu" means curtain or net, perfectly describing its unique appearance. The atmosphere here is peaceful, cool, and ideal for nature photography.

Benang Kelambu

Beyond the main waterfalls, the trail also leads to Sesere Waterfall, a hidden cascade tucked within the forest. Surrounded by untouched jungle, Sesere offers a quieter experience and showcases the pristine natural beauty of the Rinjani Geopark area.

Kliwun Waterfall

Further along the route lies Kilwun Waterfall, the fourth waterfall on the trek. Less visited than Benang Kelambu and Benang Stokel, Kilwun rewards visitors with a more secluded atmosphere, lush vegetation, and the feeling of discovering a hidden corner of Lombok's rainforest. Local guides often include it as part of the complete four-waterfall trekking experience.

Sesere Waterfall

After exploring the waterfalls of Aik Berik Village at the foot of Mount Rinjani, the journey concludes at Merese Hill.

Merese Hill

This coastal hill offers sweeping panoramic views of turquoise bays, white-sand beaches, rolling green hills, and the Indian Ocean. As the sun begins to set, the sky transforms into shades of orange, pink, and gold, creating one of the most iconic sunset views in Lombok and a perfect ending to a day filled with waterfalls and natural beauty.
