 🌿 Lombok Cultural Experience Package

Pottery Class – Coconut Oil Workshop – Coffee Roasting Experience

Including Hotel Pick-Up & Private Transport

This is not just a tour. This is a day of learning, touching, creating, and tasting Lombok’s living traditions.

🎨 1. Lombok Pottery Class – Create With Your Own Hands

Your journey begins in a traditional village in Central Lombok, where generations of artisans have shaped clay into beautiful pottery.

In villages like Banyumulek, pottery is more than a craft — it’s a heritage passed down from mother to daughter for centuries.

What You’ll Experience:

  • Warm welcome by local pottery artisans
  • Introduction to traditional Lombok pottery history
  • Live demonstration using simple, traditional techniques
  • Hands-on pottery session
  • Create your own bowl, vase, or traditional Lombok design
  • Time for photos and cultural interaction

You’ll sit on a simple wooden stool, hands covered in clay, guided gently by experienced local women. There is something magical about feeling the earth transform between your fingers.

No machines. No rush. Just patience and art.

You can keep your creation as a souvenir (or have it delivered after drying process).

This activity is perfect for:

  • Couples
  • Families with kids
  • Cultural travelers
  • Creative souls

🥥 2. Traditional Coconut Oil Workshop – From Tree to Bottle

Next, we head to a local village where you’ll discover how traditional coconut oil is made the authentic way.

Lombok is rich in coconut trees. But here, you’ll learn how local families turn fresh coconuts into natural, aromatic oil using traditional methods.

What You’ll Experience:

  • Learn about coconut harvesting
  • Grate fresh coconut manually
  • Extract coconut milk
  • Slow-cook the coconut milk over wood fire
  • Watch it separate into pure oil
  • Bottle your own coconut oil to take home
  • The smell is unforgettable — sweet, warm, and natural.

This workshop teaches sustainability, patience, and traditional wisdom. You’ll understand why coconut oil has been used for generations in cooking, skincare, and healing.

This is hands-on, authentic, and deeply educational.

☕ 3. Lombok Coffee Roasting Experience – Fire, Smoke & Aroma

After lunch at a local restaurant (optional add-on), we continue to a small traditional coffee house or village roasting spot.

Coffee in Lombok is roasted the old-fashioned way — using firewood and large metal pans.

In some areas near Tetebatu, local farmers grow coffee in the cool foothills near Mount Rinjani.

What You’ll Experience:

  • Learn about Lombok coffee farming
  • See green coffee beans before roasting
  • Roast your own beans over fire
  • Grind coffee manually
  • Brew traditional Lombok coffee
  • Taste freshly roasted coffee
  • The aroma fills the air as the beans crack and darken.

You’ll taste the difference immediately — fresh, bold, slightly earthy with volcanic soil character.

For non-coffee drinkers, local herbal tea options are available.

You can also purchase fresh roasted beans directly from the farmer.
